I'm a condo dweller and missed being able to dig in the dirt and try to grow things. When the opportunity to join the local community garden. It is called Root-Riot and so far it is really cool. The plots are 4x8, hence the totally non-creative blog title. The two locations are in Oak Park and on the far west side of Chicago. I've joined the Oak Park garden.
I've started some seeds already but I will also be planting things that have been started by a greenhouse, like tomatoes, peppers, and some flowers that bees and butterflies love. I'll try to post some pictures of my little seedlings as well as the early progress of my little plot.
